The presence of two new variants in the family of Samsung Galaxy Tab does not shut down the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. The first generation Galaxy tab is believed to still be excellent tablet PCs in Indonesia.
Adina Nesvia as Product Manager of Samsung Galaxy Tab PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia (PT Sein) said that the tablet PC market growing around the world opened wide-ranging opportunities for manufacturers to produce different variants of the digital slate.
Citing research Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK) in 2010, Samsung's first generation Galaxy Tab own 71 percent of book sales web device, including wide-screen tablet PC with at least 5 inches in Indonesia.
Adina optimistic that the Galaxy Tab by 7 inches wide, which was launched last year will remain in demand by gadget enthusiast in the country. He said the emergence of new Tab Galaxy with a 10.1-inch wide screen and 8.9 inches in June and August will be an alternative for consumers in Indonesia. However, both positions may not be able to shift the power of the Galaxy Tab 7 inches.
"That's because the Galaxy Tab previously (7 inches) could be for the phone. Moreover, after the price falls, people will more easily buy Galaxy Tab first series," said Adina on the sidelines of a press conference at the Samsung headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, Friday ago.
By the launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, PT Sein has slashed the price of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 to USD 4.799 million. PT Sein still keep the official price Galaxy Tab 10.1, but Adina guarantee the price will not be more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 7 at its launch last year, ie Rp 6.99 million.
